The Indoor Premium Blockout Fabric Banner , gray, is a high-quality fabric print designed for light-blocking indoor applications with a maximum print width of 2.50 m. It was specifically developed for applications where complete opacity and light blockage, high print quality, and a sleek, professional visual appearance are essential.

The blockout fabric used, made of 100% PES (290 g/m²), features a gray, light-blocking backing that reliably prevents light from shining through, casts no shadows, and eliminates distracting reflections from the back. This makes the printed fabric ideal for use as a back panel on trade show walls or LED frames where light must not shine through to the rear or adjacent surfaces , for installations in front of glass surfaces or windows, and for freestanding or double-sided frame systems with a visually neutral back panel. 

Our blockout fabric is typically used as a backing layer to block out light and the background—but the white side can also be custom-printed. Printing is done using the sublimation transfer process. In this process, the design is first printed onto a special transfer paper and then transferred to the fabric under heat and pressure. The color pigments penetrate directly into the polyester fibers and bond permanently with the material. The ink does not sit on the surface—the result is extremely vibrant, photorealistic colors, high level of detail, and a uniform, matte fabric surface with no detectable ink layer.

Thanks to its fire resistance classifications B1 (DIN 4102) and B-s1, d0 (EN 13501),as well asits 100% recyclability, this textile print is ideal for public buildings, offices, trade shows, retail spaces, and high-end interior applications where safety, material quality, and a controlled visual effect are paramount.

FAQs

1. How do blockout fabrics differ from standard unlit fabrics?
   Blockout fabrics are designed to be opaque. Unlike traditional unlit textiles, which are designed for direct viewing but can be slightly translucent when backlit or placed in front of bright surfaces, blockout materials feature an integrated barrier layer.
   This creates a calm, uniform visual effect, regardless of the installation situation. Blockout textiles are therefore the top choice for LED applications in front of windows, glass surfaces, or freestanding frame systems.
   
   
2. Does the gray back affect the color appearance on the front?
   No. The print quality on the front remains completely intact. Sublimation transfer printing produces extremely vibrant, photorealistic colors with high detail and a uniform, matte textile surface.
   The gray backing does not negatively affect the color saturation, contrast, or brightness of the front. It serves solely to block light and prevent transparency and has no impact on the visual effect of the design when viewed directly.
   
   
3. Is the material sustainable or recyclable?
   Yes. The blockout fabric is made of 100% PES and is fully recyclable. It contains no PVC and therefore does not generate hazardous waste, making it a more sustainable alternative to traditional PVC banners.
   
4. Is Blockout also suitable for large stretch frames?
   Yes. Blockout fabrics are particularly dimensionally stable and work very well for large-format stretch frames. The integrated blocking layer ensures a uniform, smooth image appearance even on large surfaces, without any show-through or clouding.
   
   
5. Can the design be changed without tools on Blockout textiles?
   Yes. The printed fabric is finished with PVC piping all around and can be quickly and easily replaced in compatible tension frames without any tools—ideal for changing content or seasonal applications.
   
   
6. Is the textile print approved for use in public areas?
   Yes. The material meets the requirements of Fire Protection Class B1 according to DIN 4102 and is therefore approved for use in public, commercial, and institutional indoor areas.
