PR80 tensionable outdoor frame – with flat strap system for PVC tarpaulins
The PR80 tensionable outdoor frame is the professional solution for large-format outdoor advertising with PVC banners. As a robust outdoor banner frame, the system impresses with maximum flexibility, stability, and weather resistance – ideal for long-term outdoor use.
The integrated flat tape system (12–15 x 3 mm) allows for particularly easy processing: PVC banners are sewn and can be quickly changed from the front without having to disassemble the frame. This makes the PR80 ideal for frequently changing advertising messages in retail, on facades or on large-scale displays.
A key advantage is the elimination of spring tensioning systems. This ensures that the function of the tension frame outdoor system remains independent of weather conditions such as temperature or humidity – guaranteeing reliable tension in all weather.
The PR80 outdoor frame is also modularly expandable, even when assembled. Existing systems can be flexibly enlarged without complete disassembly.
The PR80 is also optionally available as an LED light frame for outdoor use – optionally with edge illumination or homogeneous surface illumination for maximum visibility day and night.

Modularly expandable – flexible in format
The PR80 outdoor frame allows you to remain adaptable at all times. The system can be expanded modularly even when assembled, without any need for complete disassembly.
The printed design is simply removed, the pre-assembled corners opened – then additional profiles can be inserted to enlarge the frame system. After reassembling the corners, the new PVC tarpaulin in the expanded format can be clamped directly into place.
Fast, clean and efficient – ideal for changing requirements and growing advertising space.
Note on the statics and fastening of the PR80 outdoor frame
The static calculation is based on a 10 x 5 m format using PR80 profiles. The maximum height is 20 m to the top edge of the profile.
For larger, non-standard formats, a new calculation must be performed, as well as for frame heights exceeding 5 m. There is no calculation limit for width, provided the Z-brackets are mounted according to the specified dimensions.
The Z-brackets must be mounted at a maximum distance of 0.8 m, both in width and height (see diagram).
Important:
The stability of the Z-brackets depends on the substrate and the suitable anchoring system.
According to calculations, the individual Z-brackets are subjected to a total load of approximately 1.8 kN.
Primex GmbH provides information on frame statics that relates exclusively to the function, construction and basic structure of the frame itself.
This frame static analysis does not include the attachment of the frame to the wall or facade, nor any other structural elements located outside the frame and its structure. The basic structure and construction of the frame itself must not be altered; otherwise, the static analysis becomes invalid.
Please note that in outdoor areas a building permit and, depending on the wind load zone, a corresponding structural analysis is always mandatory and must be prepared by you.
The technical design and the number of anchor points for attaching the frame to the wall or facade must depend on the masonry and the structural integrity.
The specification and execution of this are not included in the scope of services and liability of Primex GmbH and are hereby expressly excluded.
The printed tarpaulin (optional)
The printing on the PVC tarpaulin for the outdoor frame is done according to your individual color or motif template upon request.

Shipping and delivery
The outdoor frames are shipped disassembled in individual parts, with the corners pre-assembled using clamping technology. Delivery is via freight carrier, and the optional print is delivered separately.

Care instructions
Cleaning and care recommendations for frames
- Only use soft, non-abrasive cloths or rags.
- Important: The surfaces to be cleaned should be cleaned as gently as possible and then rinsed thoroughly with water, as residues of salts, acids or alkalis can cause corrosion.
- Rubbing can lead to the coating becoming dull.
- Powder-coated parts should only be stored dry.
- Standard pH-neutral household cleaning agents are suitable.
- Never use solvent-containing products, alcohols, thinners (e.g. nitro thinner), acetic acid or other acids.
- Under no circumstances use abrasive or scratching cleaning agents.

Change of subject
Tool-free motif change - we think ahead!
We love sustainability not only in the raw materials for our acoustic pictures, acoustic partitions, etc., but also think long-term. For this reason, we have opted for a frame system that allows for a motif change without having to replace the entire product. Easily adapt the aluminum frames to the season, design, or color concept. Our textile print is interchangeable thanks to the keder system. You don't even have to take the frame off the wall to change the motif. Changing the motif is child's play and, most importantly, no tools are needed.
How to change the motif:
- Remove the textile. Pull the existing tab forward and the textile will detach from the frame. Now you can carefully pull the textile off along the frame.
- Insert the new textile. You can watch our short video for this.
