Excellent transfer sublimation printing for opaque interior applications

Textile printing Indoor Premium Blockout, grey, unlit is a high-quality fabric print for opaque, unlit indoor applications up to a maximum print width of 2.50 mIt was specifically developed for applications where complete opacity and light density, high print quality and a calm, professional image effect are crucial.

The blockout textile used is made of 100% PES (290 g/m²) It features a grey, opaque backing that reliably prevents light transmission, shadows, and other distracting elements from the reverse side. This makes the textile print ideal for LED frames, where no light may shine through to the rear or to adjacent surfaces, for Installations in front of glass surfaces or windows as well as for freestanding or double-sided visible frame systems with optically neutral back

Our blockout fabric is usually used as a backing layer to block light and surfaces – but the white side can also be individually printed. The printing process takes place in... Transfer sublimation processThe design is first printed onto special transfer paper and then transferred to the fabric using heat and pressure. The color pigments penetrate directly into the polyester fibers and bond permanently with the material. The color does not simply sit on the surface – the result is extremely brilliant, photorealistic colors, high level of detail and a uniform, matte textile surface without any perceptible application of color.

Thanks to the Fire protection classification B1 (DIN 4102) as well as the 100% recyclable Textile printing is ideally suited for public buildings, offices, trade fairs, retail and high-quality interior applications where safety, material quality and a controlled image effect are paramount.

FAQs

    1. How does blockout fabric differ from normal, non-illuminated textiles?
Blockout textiles are structurally opaque. Unlike classic non-illuminated textiles, which are intended for direct viewing but can be slightly translucent when backlit or against bright surfaces, blockout materials have an integrated barrier layer.
This creates a calm, uniform visual effect, regardless of the mounting situation. Blockout textiles are therefore the first choice for LED applications in front of windows, glass surfaces, or freestanding frame systems.
    2. Does the grey backing affect the color effect on the front?
No. The print quality on the front remains completely intact. The transfer sublimation printing process produces extremely brilliant, photorealistic colors with a high level of detail and a uniform, matte textile surface.
The grey backing does not negatively affect the color saturation, contrast, or brightness of the front. It serves solely to improve light and opacity and has no influence on the visual impact of the image when viewed directly.
    3. Is the material sustainable or recyclable?
Yes. The blockout fabric is made of 100% PES and is fully recyclable. It contains no PVC and therefore does not generate hazardous waste, making it a more sustainable alternative to traditional PVC banners.
    4. Is Blockout also suitable for large tension frames?
Yes. Blockout fabrics are particularly dimensionally stable and very well suited for large-format stretcher frames. The integrated barrier layer ensures a uniform, calm image effect, even across large areas, without any show-through or clouding.
    5. Can the design on blockout textiles be changed without tools?
Yes. The textile print is finished all around with PVC keder and can be quickly and completely replaced without tools in suitable tension frames – ideal for changing content or seasonal applications.
    6. Is textile printing permitted in public areas?
Yes. The material meets the requirements of fire protection class B1 according to DIN 4102 and is therefore approved for public, commercial and institutional indoor areas.
This makes textile printing suitable for projects with increased safety and approval requirements.

    Change of subject

Tool-free motif change - we think ahead!

We love sustainability not only in the raw materials for our acoustic pictures, acoustic partitions, etc., but also think long-term. For this reason, we have opted for a frame system that allows for a motif change without having to replace the entire product. Easily adapt the aluminum frames to the season, design, or color concept. Our textile print is interchangeable thanks to the keder system. You don't even have to take the frame off the wall to change the motif. Changing the motif is child's play and, most importantly, no tools are needed.

    How to change the motif:

    • Remove the textile. Pull the existing tab forward and the textile will detach from the frame. Now you can carefully pull the textile off along the frame.
    • Insert the new textile. You can watch our short video for this.

    FAQ
